Applications have now closed for the Industry 4.0 (Digital Shipyard) Global Discovery Exchange to the USA from 16 to 21 September 2018.
Victorian companies will visit cutting-edge manufacturing businesses to help them benchmark against global leading practice and experience new technologies.
The Exchange will explore Industry 4.0 technologies through the lens of digital shipyards. Visits to major US submarine and shipbuilding companies who have implemented digital manufacturing principles and technologies will demonstrate how the adoption of new or improved technology and processes could benefit Victorian manufacturers. The Exchange will also endeavour to demonstrate how suppliers to these digital shipyards have adapted to, and are currently working with and delivering to these digital based manufacturing facilities.
The Exchange will take place in Connecticut, Virginia and Alabama (TBC) with events, site visits and meetings expected to include Electric Boat, Pratt and Whitney, Huntington Ingalls, the US – Australia Defense Trade Summit, Siemens and more.
The final program will be confirmed with participants prior to the Exchange.
