Austrade, in collaboration with DFAT, the Victorian Government and the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI), are proud to bring you the annual MENA Connection Seminar taking place in Melbourne on 29 October 2018.

The theme for this year’s seminars is Tech Visions Creating Opportunities for Australia.

Economic growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is predicted to accelerate to 3.0 per cent in 2018 and 3.2 per cent in 2019. Australia’s capabilities are well-matched to the needs of the region where governments are implementing extensive plans to diversify their economies and invest in sustainable development.

Economic development plans such as UAE Vision 2021, Saudi Vision 2030, Qatar National Vision 2030 and New Kuwait 2035, as well as major events like Expo 2020 Dubai, are generating opportunities in the fields of food security and agriculture, mining, fintech, edtech, digital health, future mobility and ecommerce.

You are invited to learn about multi-sector trade opportunities in MENA markets and gain insights into regulatory and business environments in the region from Australian Ambassadors and Trade Commissioners. This is also an opportunity to meet Victoria’s new Commissioner for Victoria to the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Mr Gerard Seeber.

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and the opportunity to network over refreshments.
