In support of the manufacturing industry's transition – and building upon last year's theme – the 2018 Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards: Advancing Victorian Manufacturing will focus on the innovation and strengths of the state’s advanced manufacturing firms and the highly skilled workforce who work within the industry.

Awards will be handed out to veteran manufacturing heavyweights, the most promising young, up-and-comers – and for the first time – a new award will be introduced to honour the 2018 Woman Manufacturer of the Year.

Other award categories include:

  • Manufacturer of the Year
  • Young Manufacturer of the Year
  • Leader in Workforce Skills Development
  • Company Induction.

Other awards allocated to companies operating in high-growth manufacturing sectors will include:

  • transport
  • defence and construction technologies

The nominations will be judged across a range of criteria indicative of best practice manufacturing, including innovation, adoption of advanced manufacturing technology, global connections, and commitment to skills development.
