The Victorian Government will lead a trade mission to CommunicAsia from 26 – 29 June 2018.
South East Asia is a key market for Victorian technology companies generating significant outcomes.
CommunicAsia is the most significant ICT exhibition and conference in South East Asia with more than 1100 exhibitors and 30,000 industry professionals from around 50 countries expected to be in attendance. The show provides an important opportunity for Victoria to promote its ICT capabilities to this geographically close and increasingly technologically sophisticated regional market.
Victorian digital technology organisations are invited to participate in CommunicAsia, and companies may then opt to participate in a one-day business program in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday 29 June.
The State Government of Victoria will host a Victorian pavilion at CommunicAsia with exhibition space for up to 22 companies with a Victorian Government pod to act as a referral point for other non exhibiting (networker) companies. Exhibition pods on the Victorian stand are limited. Interested companies must indicate in advance that they wish to exhibit so that pods may be allocated.
Other events planned in Singapore are:
- a networking reception for Victorian mission participants and their key stakeholders in the region
- targeted introductions by the Victorian Government Trade and Investment office (Singapore)
- reciprocal visits between Victorian delegates and other international pavilions
- a networking dinner.
Interested delegates will fly to Thailand on 28 June for a one-day business program involving presentations, meetings, networking, and introduction opportunities on 29 June.
The Victorian Government will cover the cost of the business program, exhibition space for selected companies on the Victorian Government stand at CommunicAsia (subject to approval), some transfers and some networking events.
A workshop ‘Doing business in South East Asia’ will be held on Thursday 22 March 2018 from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm.
A pre-mission briefing will also be held in early June 2018.
