Victorian company MILKLAB celebrated the launch of their multi award-winning products in Dubai by hosting an exciting knockout latte art challenge – the Blind Barista Battle.

Supported by the Victorian Government Business Office (VGBO) for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, the Battle brought together 30 of the country's best baristas to produce latte patterns using dairy and non-dairy milks.

Born from the realisation that to make great coffee, you need a premium milk product, MILKLAB is the world's first milk brand – including dairy, almond, soy and coconut milks – especially designed for use with espresso coffee.

MILKLAB have achieved international success exporting their products throughout South East Asia –including Malaysia and Singapore, and now in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

"The UAE and wider Middle East is one of Victoria's largest food and beverage export markets, and promoting new and innovative initiatives like this helps to underpin Victoria's position as a provider of high quality products to the region" said John Butler, Victorian Government Commissioner to the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

The event was well attended by baristas, bloggers, industry professionals and coffee-lovers.
