The professional and financial services industry is the largest segment in the Victorian economy, contributing A$67 billion of Victoria's total economic output, or just over 19 per cent of gross state product (GSP) in 2015-16.

Employing over 405,000 people, the professional and financial services industry accounts for almost 13 per cent of Victoria's working population. It's a vital industry in its own right, as well as a key enabler of activity across a wide array of areas and firms who operate in banking, funds management, legal and accounting services, management consulting, architecture and urban design.

Between 2014-15, Victoria's largest industry sector professional services accounted for 18 per cent of the state's economy and is worth A$66 billion a year
