Medtech & Pharma: China March 2018
Victorian Government, through Trade Victoria, will be leading a trade mission to China from 11 to 16 March 2018.
Trade Victoria will be leading the mission to Chengdu and Suzhou, and will join the Ausbiotech Australia China Biotech Investment and Partnering Forum in Shanghai on 15 and 16 March 2018.
Delegates will be introduced to three precincts in China and a range of companies, which include:
- Chengdu Tianfu Life Science Park
- Suzhou Biobay
- Shanghai Zhangjiang Pharma Valley
- Shanghai Pharma
The Victorian Government will introduce Victoria’s capability in biotechnology, facilitate introductions, meetings, networking events, and organise on ground logistics including road transport and hotels.

What companies should attend?
Medical technology and pharmaceutical companies seeking to operate in the Chinese market.
Why should you attend?
You'll be introduced to key players within the sector in the relevant provinces – creating opportunities to initiate and develop business relationships. You'll gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese market, while investment and trade introductions help lay the foundation for potential transaction.
The Victorian Government will organise two networking events in Chengdu and Shanghai, transfers to site visits, group meetings and airports during the mission, and introductions to the Chinese market.
What's not included?
The Victorian Government will not pay for airfares, accommodation, meals outside of official activities, and conference registrations fees.
Eligibility, terms and conditions
Applications will be subject to an approval process and participation will be at the discretion of the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR).
