The State Government of Victoria is leading an English Language Trade Mission to Latin America, coinciding with Austrade's Australia Future Unlimited Education Pavilions LatAm 2017 trade mission.
The State Government of Victoria is seeking expressions of interest from Victorian international education providers with expertise in ELICOS and/or English language teacher training (TESOL) who are interested in participating in a Victorian Government English Language Mission to Latin America. The Mission will visit cities in Colombia, Peru and Chile.
Across many Latin American countries, there is increasing demand for English language training. The last four years have seen particularly strong growth in Victoria's Latino ELICOS market, with enrolments more than doubling from around 2,400 in 2011 to 5,400 in 2015. There is also strong demand for English language teacher training and capacity building programs across a number of key Latin American markets.
The timing of the Mission is intended to coincide with Austrade's Australia Future Unlimited Education Pavilions LatAm 2017 (Australian Pavilions) at FPP's Latin America EduEXPOS student recruitment exhibition series when they visit Bogotá, Lima and Santiago. Victorian organisations must already be registered with Austrade for the Australian Pavilions before applying for the State Government of Victoria English Language Mission to Latin America.
The State Government of Victoria English Language Mission to Latin America provides an opportunity to grow ELICOS student numbers from this region and to scope commercial opportunities and partnerships in English language teaching and teacher training.
In addition to the EduEXPOS, Victorian participants will be invited to participate in activities such as agent networking, alumni events and business matching meetings.
